Repainted machines Q: Is it a good idea to repaint and re-decal a poor condition machine A: This is purely a matter of individual choice. Plus, repainting a Featherweight can involve a simple couple of passes with a spray can or a professional job with many hours spent in preparation and many coats of the best available and hardest wearing paint. Be aware that there are those collectors who consider any repainting or retouching will destroy the value of a machine Chick here to see a couple of really high-class paint jobs by Californian Lloyd Askew.
