A couple of light marks on the bed prevent this machine getting a full 9 category on my condition chart, but the marks are light and do not detract from the general fine condition of the machine.
Perfect chrome, and the paint has a superb jet-black gloss.
An added feature is the correct-for-year graduated stitch plate

Good, solid, strong box with zero odor.
Machine comes with a range of attachments/feet and a packet of Schmetz needles.

Fully cleaned inside and out, serviced and
sew tested before leaving the workshop. Electrically tested for your safety. Pictures are of the actual machine. Any bright marks are from the flash - all flaws are always described in full.

LEAP YEAR MACHINE
Here’s one for the romantics among you – check out its production date.
This machine really sewed perfectly during its workshop time, but I’ve had to reduce condition rating down to an 8 because of a number of flaws, probably caused by a poorly stored foot controller at the rear of the bed.
These match-head-sized blemishes affect the top protective lacquer and do not extend through into the black paint itself.
Perfect chrome - and check out the pictures - those decals are superb.
A good saving to be had here if you can live with the small cosmetic flaws.

Good, solid, strong original box with zero odor.

It’s well known that I try to concentrate on machines made at Singer’s main factory in Scotland, but occasionally an American-made model comes along that’s exceptional enough to be included.
This machine has fine paintwork, with the lightest of pin marks on the base and just one small flaw where the extension table has touched the faceplate screw when lifted.
The chrome work is perfect and we have Singer’s graduated stitch plate as an aid to accurate seaming.
I have carefully checked the carry case and there is none of the dreaded odour.
Good, solid, strong original box.

VALENTINE’S DAY MACHINE
Here’s a fine surviving Featherweight with just a couple of light marks on the bed.
But don’t worry, none of these extend through the tough protective layer into the jet-black paintwork beneath.
We have late-style decals and, here’s a bonus, the machine is fitted with Singer’s graduated stitch plate thought by some to be a great aid to accurate seaming.
As on all my Featherweights, the chrome is just like the way it left the factory
.
And please remember all my prices include shipping by FedEx’s premier next-day service.

Here’s a late-model machine with perfect paperclip-style decals and generally good paintwork, but I have noticed two small flaws to the top-protective layer right at the back of the bed.
These, of course, don’t extend through into the paint itself and present no form of snagging hazard.
OK, this one doesn’t quite make it to the collector’s shelf, but it certainly sews up a storm

It’s difficult to fault this superb Featherweight made just before the Company went into overdrive for the Centennial year.
Check out the scroll faceplate and superb decals – not a sign of wear anywhere.
Paintwork is good with just a minimum of those inevitable light marks to the outer protective surface
.

Check out the superb correct-for-year scroll faceplate on this machine and its reflection in the paintwork.
Yes, we do have some fading to the decal at the front of the bed but there’s an absolute minimum of light marks on the bed to compensate.
Of course, the chrome work is as new.
Highly recommended machine.
Good solid, strong, original box with zero odor.

ST VALENTINE'S DAY MACHINE
A superb late-model machine with great decals, superb paintwork and perfect chrome.
This could live on a collector’s shelf.
But, with the correct-for-year graduated stitchplate, it would make a superb machine for a seamstress to take to class.
A great gloss to the paint and just the small inevitable marks to the rear of the bed.
Good solid, strong, original box with zero odor.

Machine comes with a full range of attachments/feet, the a modern thermal bound  full-size handbook and a packet of Schmetz needles.

Here’s what I would call, if I were in the automobile trade, a good, solid, genuine example.
It’s a machine that’s done
some work in its time but shows every evidence of having been regularly serviced and, of course, consequently sews a perfect stitch.
But let’s get to the condition. There is some thinning of the front decal for three inches on the front of the bed and the usual light pin marks to the paint, plus some small blemishes at the rear, probably due to a poorly-stored controller.
But that’s the bad news.
The good is that the machine has perfect chrome and the correct-for-year floral faceplate as bright as the day it left the factory.
Perhaps it just misses being at home on the showroom shelf, but it is certainly something that wont disgrace you at class
.
Don't worry about that horrible plastic belt -- it will be replaced during the machine's workshop time.
Good solid, strong, original box with zero odor.
